Is the letter handwritten?

The monthly letters are carefully designed and prepared in Japan using original handwritten writing and printed materials.

Each month also includes a small handwritten “Sho Card” created individually by hand, so slight variations in design and brushwork may appear naturally.

How long does shipping take?

International delivery times vary depending on the country and season.

Most letters arrive within 1–6 weeks after shipping from Japan.

We hope the waiting time itself becomes part of the quiet experience.

If your package arrives damaged or your letter has not arrived after 6 weeks, please feel free to contact us.

Will every collection have a different theme?

Yes.
Each collection carries a different seasonal theme inspired by Japanese life, emotions, and quiet moments.

TAKESUE can also be sent as a thoughtful gift for someone far away.

Will every handwritten card look the same?

No.
Each handwritten Sho Card is created individually by hand, so natural differences in brushwork and balance may appear.

We believe these small imperfections are part of the warmth of handmade work.

When will my letter be shipped?

Orders placed by the 15th of each month will be included in that month’s mailing.

Orders placed after the 15th will begin with the following month’s letter.

Letters are carefully prepared and shipped between the 16th and the end of each month.We aim to ship by the 25th whenever possible.

What happens if I subscribe after the 15th?

If you subscribe after the 15th, your first collection will be the following month’s letter.This allows us enough time to carefully prepare each package by hand.

Do you accept returns or cancellations?

Because each collection is carefully prepared in limited quantities, we generally do not accept returns or cancellations after shipment.
